POLLYCRAFT MONDAY & A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR TUESDAY

TWO IN ONE !!

POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE 9 - THINK PINK
&
SPOONFUL OF SUGAR CHALLENGE 39 - SKETCH BY DEBBIE

I really like Debbie's sketch for Challenge 39, over at A Spoonful of Sugar.

I already had a few images stamped and coloured (something to occupy me whilst watching tv with my daughter!) So I decide to use my Reflection stamp from Pollycraft's Winter Elves Collection . I coloured using a combination of distress inks and water colour pencils.

This also worked perfectly for Challenge 9 over on Pollycraft ! How fab!

I added some
stickles to the 'pom pom's on her hat and trousers and to the swirls on the branch. DP papers are Basic Grey Euphoria. Flowers are Prima, brads Basic Grey Euphoria, spacers, charms and ribbon from my stash.

The sentiment is from a freebie off a magazine (can't remember which one, sorry) and the envelope is a Woodware punch.

The butterflies are pearlescent acetate that I have then glittered and doubled up to be able to bend the wings to make them look like they are fluttering! These were one of those packs for either putting inside cards or decorating tables, hope you know what I mean!

Oh and I have to confess to using one of my daughter Kati's jewel swirl hair charms as an embellishment. Well she doesn't use them anymore!

The inside was decorated to compliment the front using the same papers, flowers, swirl stamps and ribbon.

Hope you like it!

  11. Hi Julie. This is my first time visit here at your little space in blog land. Love how you share your every day life with us. This card is gorgeous. Love the pink colours, a girl can never get tired of pink. You've coloured the image beautifully and I love the sentiment peeping out of the mini envelope. Thank you also for posting about Doing Life's blog candy here in your side bar with such a lovely write-up as well. You are now in with 3 chances at snatching up DL's blog candy. Good luck. Hugs from Desire all the way from South Africa.
